INTERESTING BATHROOM DECOR

A young couple approached Minosa Design and Royston Wilson Design for a bathroom remodel to a 50’s style orange brick veneer house in Australia.

Described as a dark, cramped interior, the former bathroom needed to adapt to the vibrant lifestyle of the owners, without disregarding functional needs. The designers tackled the problem by envisioning a modern and exciting space, filled with natural light.

An extensive use of mirrors was the key to maximizing space and “deal” with the black finishes. LED lighting was concealed under the vanity bench top and floating cabinet. Moreover, a mirror ball was placed above the tub for cool lighting effects. But as the designers comment, “the real hero” of this bathroom space- as mystifying as that may sound- is a portrait made from Bisazza glass mosaic tiles said to depict Napoleon Bonaparte. Looking forward to your comments on this unconventional bathroom feature!
