Miranda Kerr launches her first furniture collection

“Design and interiors have been my passion for a long time,” says Miranda Kerr…

Although best known for frolicking on the catwalks and posing for the front pages of numerous magazines, Miranda Kerr has long had an interest in living at home - her father worked in the construction industry when she was a kid, and her design eye sharpened during her travels thanks to her modeling career. Just a few days ago, she made her first interior design debut, launching the Love.Joy.Bliss Furniture Collection, in collaboration with Universal Furniture.

While the world is definitely not short on celebrities who put their name on everything from linens to alcoholic beverages, people at Universal Furniture say this was not a surface partnership, but Kerr came to the first meeting with fifty suggested designs, and many of them were in the collection, literally unchanged.

"If I had to choose, I'd say Runway is my favorite dresser. I love the combination of delicate pastel tones and the brass base, and the way the clean lines were juxtaposed with the three-dimensional front panels, “says Miranda.

Her love for crystals played a big role in the launch, just like the concept of geometry, which tells us that certain shapes and proportions have special meaning. The triangle is particularly significant in this concept, so several of its pieces accentuate it in very unusual ways.

The geometric accents are balanced by delicate colors and upholstery. The line as a whole is inspired by the lifestyle that Miranda loves as well as the feelings she wants to have when in her own home. "Originally, Love was for the bedroom, Joy for the kitchen and Bliss for the living room. However, the entire collection focuses on these three words, so they are intertwined in every space, ”explains Miranda.
