PERFECT KITCHEN FOR THE MINIMALIST

“The land of the morning calm” was the name of the ancient Korean dynasty, Joseon...

Inspired by Korea, oriental tranquility is translated into a harmonious design, where minimalist lines and a predominance of white are broken by a single coloured insert. It is inspired by ik-gong, the bird wing, a decorative element of aristocratic houses in the Joseon era, and by traditional costumes. It is an expression of national sentiment and a sign of the elegance of chromatic taste interpreted through modern and typically Korean eyes.

Morning Calm is the new 2012 product from Nefs, designed by Toncelli, in which the return to the past, to tradition, to nostalgia for the age of childhood are expressed in unmistakable Korean style.

One of the interesting elements of the composition of this collection is the island, dubbed “family island”, due to the movement of the wooden bench top, which favours family interaction and activity in the kitchen. It also offers furnishing solutions with spaces that vary according to necessity, with diverse functional solutions: workbench, home bar and desk. The tall unit cupboards conceal the oven and present two novelties: a door with magnetic blackboard inside and a calligraphic Korean incision on the door which transmits a sense of harmony in a traditionally Oriental style.

An element with open shelving completes the design of the tall units, while the handles of the base cupboards underline the harmony of the whole, in an innovative design that camouflages itself with the bench top. Morning Calm is a kitchen that speaks of space and tranquility.
