In contemporary outdoor design, the boundary between nature and architecture is becoming increasingly fluid.
It is precisely along that line that the Seeds collection emerges—a collaboration between Ethimo and designer Cristina Celestino, offering a new interpretation of outdoor furniture through the lens of growth, transformation, and adaptability.
Inspired by the world of gardening and traditional greenhouses, Seeds is built on simple forms enriched by expressive materials. Terracotta and natural teak create a balance between warmth and refinement, while the interplay of textures and artisanal techniques gives each piece a distinct identity.
As the name suggests, the collection explores the concept of evolution. Its elements are designed to be combined and reconfigured, allowing for fluid, organic compositions that adapt to their surroundings. The result is not a fixed arrangement, but a system that grows with the space it inhabits.
At the core of the design lies a modular system of benches and tables. Their slender, almost plant-like legs support surfaces with lightness and elegance, reinforcing the collection’s connection to nature. A particular highlight is the terracotta, whose marbled effect is achieved by blending different clays through handcrafted processes—ensuring that each piece carries subtle variations and a natural sense of imperfection.
The metal structure is available in carefully curated tones, with refined finishes that enhance both stability and visual identity. Tables come in square and rectangular formats, while surfaces range from terracotta and teak to contemporary Laminam materials, offering versatility across different outdoor settings.
Flexibility remains the defining value of Seeds. A bench can become a table, a table can transform into a plant stand—each element functions as part of a larger ecosystem designed for interaction and change.
The Seeds collection does not impose form; it evolves with its environment. In doing so, design becomes an extension of nature, and outdoor space transforms into a living composition where function, aesthetics, and everyday life seamlessly meet.
