In the world of luxury hospitality, where the line between design, architecture, and experience continues to blur, Apostoli Wellness Creators once again confirms its leading role.
At the prestigious Global SPA Awards 2026, the studio was honored with two major accolades—recognitions that clearly signal the direction of contemporary wellness.
In the Best Wellness Retreat category, the award went to Lefay Resort & SPA Lago di Garda—a destination that goes beyond hospitality to become a carefully composed landscape of balance and tranquility. Set on the hills above Lake Garda, the resort is seamlessly integrated into its natural surroundings, where architecture feels less constructed and more discovered.
The use of natural materials, muted tones, and light that follows the rhythm of the day creates an environment where the boundary between interior and exterior almost disappears. A 4,300-square-meter spa, infinity pools, and wellness programs inspired by a fusion of traditional Chinese medicine and modern science shape an experience that transcends the conventional definition of luxury.
Further south, in Sicily, the Best SPA Resort award was claimed by Almar Giardino di Costanza Resort & SPA, with its Almablu Wellness & SPA. This space unfolds as a multisensory journey through the island’s layered history, where Arab, Norman, and classical influences merge into a unique interpretation of local identity.
Here, wellness is no longer confined within walls—it becomes an extension of culture, landscape, and lived experience. The architecture doesn’t isolate; it connects, redefining the very purpose of spa design.
As Alberto Apostoli emphasizes, contemporary wellness can no longer be defined solely by services or technology. It must engage with its surroundings, respect context, and weave together cultural narratives—creating spaces that heal, inspire, and connect.
These awards build upon a growing list of international recognitions for both projects, reinforcing a key shift in luxury: it is no longer measured only by materials or location, but by a space’s ability to create meaning.
In that sense, Apostoli Wellness Creators do not simply design spas—they shape new ways of living, where architecture becomes a medium for balance between people, nature, and culture.
