Hotel ION in Nesjavellir, Iceland was designed and envisioned by an American studio Minarc. They aimed to create and amazing hotel experience, which is as dramatic and otherworldly quite like Iceland’s natural wonders. The hotel’s location is the perfect setting for creating magic, with the amazing views of Lake Thingvallavatn and the surrounding mountains.
This hotel was built using the construction with prefabricated panels and incorporating sustainable materials. It respects creative ideas and surrounding landscape in terms of construction, panoramas and accommodation. The holistic approach to the whole project as a result had the creation of a powerful connection between inspiring man made destination design and amazing natural wonders of Iceland. Staying at this luxury hotel is further enhanced by the connection to hot springs and glaciers defining this area, as well as unforgettable views of the playful and magical Northern Lights.
