Located on a beautiful stretch of coastline on San Diego Bay, the sprawling Hotel del Coronado is one of the most legendary resorts that has hosted generations of travellers - including many celebrities and politicians during its 134-year history.
The hotel was featured in the 1959 film Some Like It Hot alongside Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis. However, the famous national landmark just proved that it is by no means stuck in time. Now, the iconic hotel is expanding its already impressive list of accommodations, with brand new Shore House at The Del hotel villas, set to open this month.
The new addition has 75 one-, two- and three-bedroom residences. Each residence is characterized by an entrance hall with an exposed beam roof, along with hand-crafted wooden floors and a colour palette that is in keeping with the coastal surroundings. On top of that, you'll enjoy superb views of the Pacific coast through the large windows. The spacious living room has a fireplace, while there is also a gourmet kitchen and a bathroom with a deep soaking tub and shower.
Additional amenities include a terrace for lounging and a balcony with a fireplace. On top of that, each residence has a separate private entrance and valet for smooth and quick check-in. There will also always be a VIP concierge on hand to take care of all your needs during your vacation.
Of course, guests will get full access to all hotel facilities. The Shore House is within walking distance of private oceanfront pool cabanas, so you can soak up the sun during your stay. When you get hungry, grab a table at the Bistro and enjoy dishes like octopus skewers and pulled pork sandwiches. The restaurant has a large outdoor terrace so you can also eat on the beach.

Guests of Shore House at The Del will have access to all the amenities and activities of the five-star Hotel Del Coronado, including its wellness facilities, pools and restaurants. But they will also enjoy a variety of exclusives, such as an infinity pool with ocean views, private cabanas, fire pits, a bistro and an outdoor bar, among many others.
Nightly rates at Shore House at The Del start at $1,699 and reservations are now open for stays beginning in September 2022.
