CHRISTIAN DIOR CONQUERS SAKS

Christian Dior Fall 2013 collection has seized the windows of Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York.

Debuting last week, the windows are inspired by creative director Raf Simpson’s Paris runway show. Not only content with winning over the fashion world with jaw-dropping collection during the spectacular week, Christian Dior has taken a lead to woo fans, shoppers, passerbys and others with 17 Dior-themed windows at Saks. Everybody related to the New York Fashion Week can indulge in the Parisan ambience as the windows will be dressed up in Dior till 19th September. All those who miss it during the fashion week can catch up with the extraordinary creativity as this setup will be shifted to the third floor of the store.

Dominated with dazzling chrome spheres, each window highlights the collection without mannequins. Ready-to-wear clothes, bags, shoes and other stuff is seen floating in the windows. One window is exclusively decked up to mark the 60th anniversary of Rouge Dior lipstick collection. A pair of colossal red lips grabs attention with a sphere showcasing the lipstick collection in the background.

The J’adore fragrance is another iconic product that is celebrated with one whole window dedicated to it. Akin to the lipstick-themed window, this one too put up a giant gold fragrance bottle surrounded with bottles of J’adore hovering around. Kathleen Ruiz, the Vice President of Special Events, Public Relations and Social Media for Saks Fifth Avenue stated, “Our window statements are an extremely important part of our Flagship store’s DNA. We use them to tell a story – what brands we’re inspired by, what trends we believe in and in this case we’re showcasing the Dior fall/winter 2013 collection based on the show in Paris from earlier this year. These windows are unique in that they are an entire block of Fifth Avenue.”
