PRESTIGIOUS BULGARI BOUTIQUE

Italian fashion and jewelry house Bulgari hired an American architect Peter Marino, in order to renovate their Via dei Condotti boutique…

This boutique which is located on one of the most fashionable and luxurious streets of Rome was open for the first time in 1905. Peter Marino had a difficult task during the renovation of this prestigious object, as he had to integrate the eternal elements of the Eternal city, with the elegance of jewelry this luxury brand makes.

The outside structure, which was created in 1930s by architect Florestano Di Fausto, was restored without excessive changes in existing elements. However, the interior got its new modernist appearance along with smartly integrated spaces, after long and hard working process.

Marino kept the original parquet flooring and shelves in this interior. These shelves were the décor in two galleries which are on the entrance of this luxury space, back in 1930s. Bridal jewelry is now located on the right side in one gallery, while high couture jewelry pieces are located on the left side.

He also brought back the secret VIP door. These doors used to exist and have been used by famous celebrities like Audrey Hepburn and Kirk Douglas, so they could enjoy shopping their favorite precious jewelry without being disturbed by the paparazzo.
