ALI BABA DECOR COLLECTION

It is a magical collection, with decorations of oriental origins, with small precious details and refined embroideries...

Paola Navone developed this idea according to three different supports being associated with glass.A rich, material, silvery decoration surrounding vases as if it was a carpet. A thin and perforated sheet of silver that, like a lace, envelops and makes different glasses, teapots and coffeepots be true. Embroideries on the fabric that draw imaginary profiles of vases and containers with sinuous and unexpected shapes. Naos, Alnair, Kaff, Dened, Gemma, Mizar, Persei, Shedir, with these names, thousands years ago, the Arabs named some of the most spectacular stars showing themselves in front of their eyes; today these are the names of the Alì Baba collection items.

Naming them with the name of the stars is a tribute to the lightening of the decoration and the articles themselves. Ali Babà is an overwhelming collection, a true surprise, an extraordinary intellectual and creative effort resulting from a careful search in the Middle East world roots, in its culture as well as in its style and in particular in the Morocco ones with signs reminding the preciousness of some baroque fancies. It is a classical and romantic world, but at the same time it is a contemporary one because it interacts with design elements and details, thanks to a careful second reading that allowed to make a journey through the universe of flowers, of perfumes, of spices, of light, of beverages be contemporary as well as the one of customs belonging to the oriental style that has been for centuries the great master in offering hospitality and conviviality.

Ali Babà is also magic, an all-embracing magic in a surreal, imaginary and fantastic world that is sometimes funny, without any doubt it is mysterious, surely rich and precious. It is a world that tells us about flying carpets, magical lamps, about wishes closed into caves full of treasures. It is a journey through the universe of flowers, of perfumes, of spices, of light, of beverages and of customs belonging to the Middle Eastern style that has been for ages a great master in giving hospitality. But there are also and above all usual items that are maybe unexpected for Egizia such as jugs, teapots, coffee-pots, glasses for coffee, for tea, for liqueur as well as for spices.
