LOUIS VUITTON - OBJETS NOMADES 2015

For this year's edition of the International Furniture Fair in Milan, Louis Vuitton brand has invited nine well-known designers and emerging designers to design the famous Objets Nomades collection for 2015.

This collection inspired by journeys mainly made of famous Louis Vuitton Nomade leather and presents pieces that are designed with style and luxury in mind.

The designers who participated in this project are Patricia Urquiola, Atelier Oi, Barber & Osgerby, Nendo, Campana Brothers, Gwenaël Nicolas, Raw Edges, Damien Langlois-Meurinne and Maarten Baas. The collection has 16 pieces, representing the hanging objects such as chairs, lamps and compact furniture, and even decor items made of shells and animal bones.

Louis Vuitton brand presented its collection in a pre-designed space done by Charlotte Periand, La Maison au Bord de l'Eau. This space presented everything from picture frames and flower pots to leather lamps hanging from the ceiling.

President and CEO of Louis Vuitton brand, Michelle Burke said that they have not visited the exhibition in the role of furniture designer. As he puts it: "We are fashion house, which was inspired by the design, but do not want to be designers of furniture. We feel like guests who are invited to visit the Salone del Mobile. "Burke added that all the creations were the ideas of the designers that were invited, who were given the freedom to create anything they want.
