NEW HONDA JET

Honda heralded its entry into the aviation industry by introducing the HondaJet a couple of years back.

After an impressive start, the program had hit some minor impediments and few delays but the recent events suggest things are back on track. The engine powering the jet has recently received its FAA certification and to make it easier for the customers to buy the jet, Honda will provide financing in the US. Customers will be given the option to finance the $4.5 million Jet from the Japanese automaker’s own Honda Finance Corp unit.

According to Honda, six HondaJets are on the production line currently and the first of them is nearing completion. The 489-mph aircraft can carry 4 to 5 people and Honda plans to sell them to first time buyers who are on a look-out for smaller jets. Honda said it will provide additional details on this financing program early next year and plans to begin delivering the jets to customers in late 2014 or early 2015.
