Nature has always been at the heart of Boucheron’s creative universe — not as ornamentation, but as a living organism that breathes, grows and endlessly transforms.
Since 1858, when Frédéric Boucheron opened his first boutique under the Palais-Royal arcades, leaves, petals, insects and organic silhouettes have shaped the maison’s aesthetic vocabulary. With the Histoire de Style 2025: Untamed Nature collection, Creative Director Claire Choisne leads this narrative into a new chapter, where nature is no longer simply represented — it becomes part of the body, part of movement, part of life itself.
Across 28 extraordinary creations, high artistry and botany merge into jewelry that behaves like a living structure. Leaves, berries, stems and petals are no longer rigid ornaments; they bend, articulate and shift with the wearer’s breath and motion. Achieving this fluidity requires hundreds — sometimes thousands — of hours of craftsmanship. From cascading ivy brooches to articulated cranberry necklaces, each piece showcases the unparalleled precision of the Boucheron ateliers.
The maison also reimagines numerous botanical species from its historic archives. A cranberry necklace composed of 84 snow-set leaves can be worn as multiple brooches or as one flowing jewel. Wheat motifs are transformed into tiaras and brooches that sway like wind-touched fields, while cyclamen and burdock become supple, diamond-adorned forms carved with meticulous care. New “protagonists” also appear — such as carrot-flower brooches — revealing how Boucheron continuously expands its botanical jewel lexicon.
The entomological jewels are equally mesmerizing. Bumblebees, ladybugs, butterflies and other delicate creatures are sculpted from mother-of-pearl, rock crystal, diamonds and black lacquer with astonishing fidelity to nature’s transparency and texture. Innovative transformation mechanisms allow, for example, a stag beetle to become a double-ring brooch, while a bumblebee seems ready to take flight at any moment — an ode to the fleeting brilliance of the living world.
Throughout the collection, signature Boucheron motifs reemerge: the iconic Question Mark necklace, whose asymmetrical cascade of leaves symbolizes the dialogue between nature and light; architectural tiara structures inspired by reeds and dragonflies; and, of course, the maison’s mastery of modular wearability. Necklaces transform into brooches, earrings reveal hidden leaves, and bracelets uncoil like living vines.
Balancing virtuoso craftsmanship, technological innovation and poetic imagination, Untamed Nature stands among the most ambitious high jewelry collections of recent years. Boucheron invites the wearer into a living ecosystem of gemstones — a landscape where every stem, petal and wing interacts with emotion, movement and light. In this vision, nature is not merely inspiration; it is a partner, a collaborator and an eternal source of beauty.
