FIRST MANOLO BLAHNIK COLLECTION FOR MEN

Manolo Blahnik is a Spanish fashion designer and founder of the eponymous luxury brand that is engaged in designing and manufacturing of shoes...

He has been in this business since the 70s. Initially, he designed men's shoes, but soon realized that this type of shoe restrains his imagination, as it lacks the main element of fashion, so he dedicated himself to designs for the ladies, and now, his women shoes are known as timeless classics.

Also, Blahnik always created shoes for himself, so it was only a matter of time when he will launch his first collection intended for gentlemen. His designs have about 40 styles and a range of colors, ranging from formal lace-up shoes to men's sandals. He now presented his latest collection, the first collection for men in Sir John Soane's Museum in London.

He color coordinated shoe sections with different areas of the museum. For example, a pair of golden blond shoe is placed next to a large image of Venice, which contains a lot of shades of blue and gold bulky frame. When asked why he chose this location for the presentation of his first collection of shoes for men, he said he was delighted by the beauty of the building. He has long wanted to create a men's collection, and he decided to take this step when the fashion industry experts said that there’s a "boom" expected in the field of men's footwear.
