LOUIS VUITTON OBJECTS NOMADES

Louis Vuitton Objects Nomades Collection which is themed around 'The Journey' showcased at Salone Internazionale del Mobile...

If you are the kind of person who believes in a Bohemian lifestyle, you would prefer to be nomadic and pick up pieces of cultural references wherever you travel in this world. To celebrate that sense of nomadic lifestyle, Louis Vuitton has announced the 'Objects Nomades' collection, which is themed around 'The Journey'. One must note that Louis Vuitton encourages its patrons to travel a lot, and had released two world travel books dedicated to unique hotels and artsy travel. The collection was announced originally at Design Miami Fair in December 2012 and the rehashed version at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in April. The collection perfectly attenuates to the idea of nomadic traveling. A desk that is meant for avant-garde writers who probably wish to travel often, a pair of glasses that help you sleep when you are travelling, a Voyage Cabinet designed by the Campana brothers and a hammock by Atelier Oi.

13 designers offered their unique talent to Louis Vuitton in order to celebrate the nomad in each of us. Currently, the collection consists of 16 items by renowned designers like Oki Sato of Nendo Studio, Maarten Baas, Thierry Gaugain, Patricia Urquiola among others. The special collection will sold across six exclusive Louis Vuitton stores in Tokyo, Singapore, Taipei, London, Paris and New York. Some of the designs may be purely conceptual while others may be sold right away or in the future.
