Thierry Roset has been the head of Charles Heidsieck’s wine cellars for 25 years.
To mark the occasion the Champagne house has joined hands with Harrods to re-release a limited number of one of its best and tremendously rare, the Blanc des Millénaires 1985. A perfect gift for Champagne connoisseurs and collectors, the Blanc des Millénaires 1985 is offered in individually-numbered gift boxes and special packaging.
According to Harrods, this is a blend of five of the most renowned Chardonnay crus from the Côtes des Blancs region. The wine has been rested in the house’s two thousand-year-old Roman chalk cellars for almost thirty years. Its aromas come from fig, tobacco and a combined hint of truffle and honey. The structure, finesse and intensity of this special edition allows it to further develop, mature and get better with time.
Priced at £395 (about $670) it is sold exclusively at The Wine & Spirits Room on Harrods’ Lower Ground Floor.
