Veuve Clicquot and Belmond have teamed up again to offer us the opportunity to enjoy the experience of old-world luxury, namely train travel and refined champagne…

Two LVMH brands, which had previously teamed up to create a luxurious train journey from France to Italy, have introduced three additional adventures on legendary Belmond trains. The new Solaire journeys allow travelers to follow the sun across three continents, with the most prestigious cuvées and delicacies in hand.

The first journey, taking place from April 22 to 25, leads from Singapore to Malaysia. Guests will enjoy champagne for breakfast with a view of Marina Bay in Singapore, then board the Eastern & Oriental Express and travel through lush jungle to Penang Island. The train itself is also an attraction. All elegant wood-paneled cabins have been completely redesigned for the 2024 season. The piano bar car also offers dishes prepared by world-renowned chefs and top champagne.

The second Solaire journey, scheduled for July 4 to 6, begins in Austria and ends in France. The adventure starts with two days of culture and gastronomy in Vienna. Travelers will then board the historic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and head to the home of Veuve Clicquot in the famous Champagne region of Reims. After a guided tour of the historic vineyards, guests will enjoy a tasting of the finest cuvées. The journey fittingly concludes with dinner in the limestone quarries of the house, prepared by Michelin-starred chefs Mori Sako and Jean Imbert. The train will then return guests to Paris.

The third and final journey is probably the best. For the first time, Veuve Clicquot offers a five-day expedition on two luxurious Belmond trains. The journey, lasting from October 21 to 26, will lead the Hiram Bingham and Andean Explorer through South America. Guests will travel from vibrant Cusco through the Sacred Valley to the land of the Incas, absorbing the stunning ancient sites and natural wonders of Peru such as Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. Along the way, travelers will also enjoy delicious food and fantastic champagnes selected by Veuve Clicquot cellar master Didier Mariotti.

It will be hard to choose just one journey - although, of course, nothing prevents you from going on all three Solaire journeys.
