Duffy London introduces a new edition of the Abyss coffee table

It's always exciting when Duffy London unveils new pieces of furniture, and this time they've wowed us again with their release of the Abyss coffee table, which is simply a work of art.

Duffy London is known for their skill in combining sculpture and furniture. It is also known as a brand that chooses to ignore boundaries, often playing with the concepts of geography, illusion and gravity in its bespoke pieces that are made from sustainable and eco-friendly materials.

The company was founded by Christopher Duffy in 2012 and is located in the Victoria Dock studio, where the Abyss furniture concept was born. The brand has now unveiled a limited-edition coffee table, billed as "a truly stunning and thought-provoking piece of furniture" and we totally agree! Named "Abyss Horizon", the coffee table will be limited to just 25 pieces and will be available for the first time in premium Italian Carrara marble depicting water at different depths.

Originally designed with a solid core, the new Abyss Horizon takes on a sleeker and more elegant form. Three exquisitely crafted curved legs support a dramatic sculpted base that appears to descend with a large, floating "colossal chasm" in the centre.

Commenting, Christopher Duffy said in a statement: “For this piece I wanted to achieve something very clean, a streamlined and elegant Abyss design that accentuates the overall visual effect! By redesigning the base section with slender legs to give a more graceful profile, we also help focus attention on the table top."

Offered in 120cm or 140cm diameter with a base carved from a single block of white Italian Carrara marble, the Abyss Horizon Coffee Table retails for $30,854 and can be purchased on the Duffy London website.
