Is this the most luxurious bed ever made?

In the middle of last month, at the Salone del Mobile fair in Milan, Hastens Swedish company presented its new spectacular creation...

It is Vividus bed, which costs a whopping 130,000 euros. This family-owned company is known for the creation of expensive and luxurious beds and linen, but this piece is the latest in a series of such work created by specially selected artists, which requires about 320 hours of work for making each bed.

Much thought, research and expertise were used for the creation of each part of the bed. From hand-sewn layers of horsehair and cotton, to frame made of pine wood from the north of Sweden, only the finest materials are used. The bed is upholstered with famous blue gingham material.

Jan-Erik Leander, main master at making Vividus bed, said: "Vividus is a unique project for the masters, giving them the ability to use every day the techniques that are older than 160 years. Being part of the team working on the most prestigious and best bed in the world is certainly a special task, in which only a few people will be able to participate. "

"It is a bed with uncompromising use of high quality materials, time and skills. We appreciate each bed from the beginning to the end of production, as part of our family of products. I believe that's what gives Vividus bed the soul and character," he added.
