RADICE - luxury "Made in Italy"

In a game of contrasts between light and dark, Radice presents a new collection of luxury furnishings of contemporary comfort. Inspired by Art Deco but also by the aesthetics of the Forties... 

Sumptuous and refined environments of the Forties in Monaco, or the atmosphere of a movie with Humphrey Bogart: these inspired the new collection presented by Radice, a world leader in the production of luxury furniture characterized by refined design and sophisticated workmanship, strictly Italian-made.

The collection designed by Arch. Alessandro Massari and Studio Radice is characterized by the use of noble materials such as Anigre (quarter figured anigre) , semiprecious stones, leather, bronze, and mainly by excellent craftsmanship which has made Italy,  and in particular  Brianza, famous all over the world: the rich collection presented by Radice at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, on stage from 8 to 13 April, offers furniture solutions that can be customized to meet even the most demanding requirements.

The new proposals emphasize once again how Radice, now run by the third generation of the family, is able to create a dialogue between the successful tradition of the past and the contemporary language, taking into account design, ergonomic details and style details which made Radice an ambassador in the world of taste and Italian know-how.

Interpreting the contemporary lifestyle, the new collection features a range of chairs, tables, accessories, consoles and cabinets where aesthetic elegance is a mix of contrast between light and dark tones, where full and empty volumes meet realizing a combination of materials, with large areas covered in leather, metal details or semi-precious stones.

Jade is the line of sofas and armchairs of great comfort and rigourous style. The products are enriched by the inclusion of elements in semiprecious stone tiger eye and hand chiseled cast bronze.

Holly is the seat offered with or without armrests. The project pays homage to the attention to details typical of Radice: see in particular the pleated fabric detail that characterizes the backrest. 

Cage reinterprets the Art Deco aesthetic in a contemporary style to offer a beautifully designed chair of great comfort. It has a metal frame with bronze finish. The seat is upholstered in full grain leather.

Nadine is the 360° swivel chair(with automatic return) of excellent design. The velvet lining with quilted back makes it suitable for county chic environments or a metropolitan loft. The basement is covered in leather as well.

Naylor is the executive chair with up and down motion. Thanks to the leather or velvet upholstery, it meets contemporary aesthetic trends.

Dumas is the linear table of strong graphic design made ​​possible thanks to a careful balance of full and empty volumes and embellished with brass details and hand-carved bronze. The table top is made of smoked glass.  

Follot is a minimal and elegant table to be put near a sofa. Matt lacquer finish and top with shagreen leather effect. The details are in brass with bronze finish. 

Maki is a small table with lacquered finish and leather covered legs. It  enhances the typical company's craftsmanship. 

Ines is a piece of furniture for the back of a sofa characterized by soft lines, with side doors and double drawer in the center. It is covered with shagreen leather effect and has handcrafted bronze details.

Fleur tells of the excellence of Made in Italy craftsmanship applied to a console in cast bronze. The top is made of high-quality honey onyx. 

Lotus is a console of strong character where the graphic design defines a balance between full and empty volumes. This piece of furniture enters the house as protagonist like a piece of art. 

Vivienne is a precious piece of furniture of rigorous design with side panels and triple drawer in the center. The structure is covered in shagreen-print leather, the handle is hand made in bronze. The top is matt lacquered.  

Trilogy is an elegant dining table with a metal base brushed bronze effect. The top is in Anigre (quarter figured anigre) , a wood that gives the top a sophisticated design emphasized by the glossy finish. At the center of the top is an insert of smoked glass, bronze details and tiger's eye. 

Margot is a tribute to the Art Deco charm thanks to large volumes (that interact with thin and light lines), to the moves of the forms and to the design of details (ex. handles). The showcase has a box with double wooden (Anigre (quarter figured anigre) ) door with hidden bar compartment and open compartments (glossy lacquer finish), lighted and equipped with glass shelves. A mirror and tiger eye details are present as well. 

Lucille is a cabinet assembled on a black lacquered frame which gives to the piece of furniture a slender shape and force to the object. The side panels are covered in shagreen print skin. The central element with black marble top Port Laurent has a structure covered in wood Anigre (quarter figured anigre) . The handle with bronze details tiger eye is entirely handmade.

Eve is a writing desk with four drawers of minimal design with balanced full and empty volumes. The frame is glossy lacquered with leather stitched details. Feet are metal brushed bronze finish. 

Zenith is the cabinet with two doors in Anigre (quarter figured anigre)  wood with a glossy finish, fitted with three drawers in nubuck finished by hand. The bronze handles are entirely handmade. 

Maevais the rectangular mirror whose frame plays on the contrast between rigorous metallic elements and the soft and uneven texture of shagreen print leather.
