BMW has introduced its first ever M5 CS model, a faster and much more aggressive edition of the M5 range...
In the process of losing a large seventy kilograms of weight, carbon fiber played its role, and when the new M5 appeared, it joined the M2 and CS versions of the German manufacturer. Along with the increase in power to 626 hp, smaller suspension of the CS line was tuned to give the characteristics of racing models and is accompanied by carbon-ceramic brakes with six valves, light alloy wheels, as well as hood, roof, mirrors, seats and front splitter created of carbon fiber.
With the new five, customers can expect all-wheel drive in the standard range, while BMW has done a fine tuning of its eight-speed automatic transmission, sporty and correct, especially adjusting its differential, so that the model can drift with ease.
The standard M5 Competition already reaches an acceleration of up to one hundred kilometers per hour from a standstill in 3.1 seconds, but with more power and less weight, this figure in the case of the new machine has approached the target time of three seconds. On the other hand, customers can't expect too much comfort, because how it works, BMW has put a lot of effort into reducing weight, which simply means - lightweight materials with less luxury, but far more sporty features.
With a price of 159,475 euros, 40 thousand less compared to the Competition version on which it is based, the CS model comes with a large number of flawless components and new settings, promising the best possible driving experience of the top BMW M edition.
CS is faster than all its rivals in the direction, with four tenths ahead of the AMG version and three tenths less compared to the M5 Competition line. The much lighter and more powerful CS accelerates to 200 km / h in 10.4 seconds from standstill and develops a top speed of 304 km / h.
