The Bavarian company has offered a number of different purple shades over the years, but their new trademarked product is only available in individual variants and is definitely the brightest so far. The new color looks beautiful under the headlights of BMW, both at the Montreal Show and in any daylight, we are convinced.
As this is definitely an M8 Gran Coupe variant and it is simply impossible to mix it with the M8 Competition Gran Coupe line, especially due to the lack of Competition design and chrome finishes, the car is equipped with an abundance of M Performance parts that really make it stand out. The special package includes a front splitter, front air intake masks, side mirrors, roof, rear diffuser and a sharp spoiler on the carbon fiber trunk lid.
For now, it is unknown how much this beautiful M8 Gran Coupe painted Twilight Purple costs, but one thing is for sure, it is definitely not cheap. Both the BMW M8 Gran Coupe and M8 Competition Gran Coupe twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter engines produce 592 hp and 750 Nm of torque, in standard form, while 616 hp and 750 Nm of torque are available under the Competition label.
Both variations on the theme come with eight-speed M Steptronic gearboxes, which send all the power to a potent all-wheel drive system. The M8 Gran Coupe completes the sprint from zero to sixty miles per hour in 3.3 seconds, while the M8 Competition Gran Coupe is slightly better, completing the same task in 3.2 seconds.
