How we envy those who were able to attend CES 2023…

The event was packed with great tech products that will soon hit the market. Furthermore, automakers have also been out in full force with prototypes and concepts of their upcoming electric vehicles. Peugeot was one of the many who took the stage, delighting everyone present with its Inception model.

We haven't seen this many geometric elements on a vehicle since Tesla introduced the Cybertruck. As much as we prefer futuristic aesthetics in a slightly more toned-down version, the French brand's design exudes a somewhat macho appeal. It may just be our own, subjective view of things, but there is a vibe of masculinity about it that makes it attractive.

This EV is more than an avant-garde look as Peugeot has equipped it with an outstanding electric drive. Inception is equipped with a 100-kWh battery that promises up to 800 km on a single charge. Range concerns will never be an issue if the production model lives up to this promise.

Furthermore, the 800V charging system that comes with the Inception model uses induction technology that can be wirelessly charged from zero to 100 percent in less than half an hour. High-performance electric motors on each axle equate to a power output of approximately 671 horses with a sprint from 0-100 km/h in less than three seconds.

"Customers have high expectations of an electric car," notes product executive Jerome Micheron. "Thanks to the new generation of our 'BEV-by-design' platforms dedicated to electric vehicles, we will meet their expectations." Inside the cabin, the Inception offers the driver and passengers a panoramic view thanks to the thin pillars and glass roof.
