At the Van der Valk shipyard, all eyes were on the spectacular launch of the new 35-metre motor yacht Jangada — the latest floating masterpiece born from a long-standing collaboration between the shipyard and the same discerning owner.
Their previous joint project was nominated for a World Superyacht Award in 2020, and the new Jangada proudly continues this tradition of excellence, now in an even more ambitious expression. The creative signatures of acclaimed designers Nick Top and Guido de Groot are evident in every contour. An additional deck — subtly integrated into the yacht’s silhouette — brings new volumetric possibilities without disrupting the recognisable raised-pilothouse profile. Precisely modelled lines balance power and refinement, giving the yacht a harmony rarely achieved in this size category.
The interior reveals a world of understated luxury. Pale-toned, bleached wood pairs with architectural surfaces to create an atmosphere of calm and fluid functionality. The full-beam owner’s suite, located forward on the main deck, serves as a private sanctuary, while the lower-deck cabins are carefully tailored for the owner’s children and grandchildren. A beautifully appointed private gym adds an element of wellness, ensuring comfort even during extended days at anchor.
In the main salon, monumental glazing and a ceiling height of 2.6 metres bring an uninterrupted connection to the surrounding sea. The ambiance is open, luminous and serene — reminiscent of contemporary coastal villas. In the pilothouse, a lounge area offers panoramic views, while the instrument screens can discreetly fold away, leaving behind a space of pure, uncluttered elegance.
Technically, Jangada features solutions usually reserved for the most innovative yachts of today. The flybridge hosts a 4.5-metre jet-stream pool (7,200 litres), supported by a dedicated hot-water tank ingeniously hidden beneath the tender garage. The yacht is engineered for exceptional acoustic insulation and offers complete separation of crew and guest areas — ensuring tranquillity and privacy, the two defining elements of true luxury.
With sea trials fast approaching, the new Jangada already radiates the aura of a masterpiece. It unites technical virtuosity, design clarity and an intimate family-oriented spatial logic, proving once again that genuine luxury — at sea or on land — is always a perfect fusion of aesthetics, function and emotion.
