He used the patented technology to “harvest, filter and permanently recirculate ocean water”. The San Alfonso pool construction cost approximately 3.5 million US dollars. The size of the pool is 8 hectares in surface area which equals 6,000 standard-size 8-metre-long swimming pools. The water temperature in summer is 26C; it is 9 degrees warmer than the ocean next to it. The pool uses the water from the Pacific; it holds up to 250, 000 cube meters of water. Crystal clear water allows to see trough 35 meters of the pool depth, it’s completely transparent.
