Uber-luxurious glamping in the frozen desert of the Antarctic

Glamping just got a brand new, luxurious dimension…

Of course, we’re talking about the new camp owned and created by the White Desert company, in Antarctic, named Echo. This unique project contains “Sky Pods” inspired by universe, which are designed to provide each guest with a truly remarkable, luxury experience.

Guest can choose one of the six warm, contemporary bedrooms with cabins which are complemented by floor to ceiling windows. Each unit is suitable for two guests and comes with amazing furniture pieces.

Made of composite fiberglass, this sleeping cocoons additionally contain original photographs which were made by the ex-commander and coronel, Terry Virts on the International Space Station. Other offerings in the camp include communal shower cabins, kitchen and three centralized capsules where you can find the reception, living room and dining room.

Aside from staying here, guest will have access to an experienced team of chefs, hosts and expert guides. They can take part in various activities, such as fat biking, skiing, skidooing, and 4×4 Arctic Truck driving or go on guided hiking and mountaineering excursions.

Commenting on this new offering, co-founder of White Dessert, Patrick Woodhead, stated: “Inspiration for Echo interiors come from too many years of watching Star Wars. It was really difficult to have interior designers merge the retro feeling of the Millennium Falcon with the luxury of a boutique retreat”.

This amazing experience begins in Cape Town, where guest board a private plane, in order to reach their destination. Upon arrival, they’ll be treated with martini cocktails with ice which is 10.000 years old!

The price for a five-day-stay starts at 780.000 dollars for a group of 12, or 65.000 dollars per person – including the stay, flights and transfers, food and drinks, as well as camp activities.
