Believe it or not, the river Seine became home to the first floating hotel of the world. The hotel is anchored at Austerlitz station and has 54 rooms, 4 suites, bar and swimming pool among other delightful amenities. Called Off Paris Seine, this innovative hotel was designed by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman. The project was implemented by Gerard Ronzatti from Off Seine Design company that actually deals with floating architecture.
The view from this hotel changes throughout the day as the light shifts and shimmers on the water surface. The aesthetics of the design of this hotel is modern and urban, but in no way disturbs the natural landscape.
Two suites of this hotel have been given a monochrome color palette, with interesting details. The lobby is decorated in a very interesting way with accent pieces such as the 250-year-old piece of wood, which is above the copper reception desk.
