This luxury Italian fashion house presented its new dimension, designing bags that is directly inspired by the purist design and refined materials of the new Whitney Museum. Max Mara brand teamed up with Renzo Piano Building Workshop when working on this project. Their Whitney bag presents and highlights one of the most important elements of this project, the facade of the museum itself, in the form of modular lines that adorn the exterior of the bag. Materials and colors are directly inspired by the exterior of the museum, so this model is very elegant, blue-gray, which is further embellished with red accents and elements of matte palladium.
Interesting vertical lines of the exterior bag shape its interior with Alcantara lining, which adds color the whole project aside from the zip pockets. It has double handles, and can be worn over the shoulder, with the help of adjustable belt.
This release is intended primarily for collectors, a blue-gray color resembles a metallic facade of the museum. In addition to this release, there are three versions of the Max Mara Whitney bags in different sizes and in black, burgundy and cream. Collector's edition is available in a limited number of only 250 pieces and is available for purchase from the first of May.
