The jewelers Sorab & Roshi have opened a charming storefront on Putnam Avenue in Greenwich, offering a wide array of colorful, one-of-a-kind pieces. The husband-and-wife duo, who started their business more than 20 years ago, have a cult following for their colorful, fanciful, statement designs. “What sets us apart is the fact that Sorab makes every piece,” says Roshi Ameri, who manages the business side of the brand while her Iranian-born husband, Sorab Bouzarjomehri, oversees design and execution. “If he can’t find just the right stone, he cuts it and carves it himself.” Completely self-taught, Bouzarjomehri opened his first store in Cross River, N.Y., in 2003, and nearly doubled his store space in Connecticut this fall. Prices range from $1,200 (cuff links) to more than $200,000 (necklaces of rare stones), and each is a beautiful unique creation.
