Following up on last year's list, global citizenship and residency consultancy Henley & Partners has unveiled its list of this year's most powerful passports…
This ranking is based on the Henley Passport Index, which uses data from the International Air Transport Association, taking into account factors such as the number of destinations a passport can visit without a visa.
This year, Japan takes the top spot with 193 countries that can be visited without applying for a visa. Just after Japan, the list includes Singapore and South Korea with 192 destinations, while Germany and Spain take third place, followed by Finland, Italy and Luxembourg in fourth. In addition to the mentioned countries, the top 10 list also includes Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Ireland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Belgium, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, the United States of America, the Czech Republic, Australia, Canada, Greece, Malta, Hungary, Poland, Lithuania and Slovakia.
In addition, the list includes ten countries with the least power and freedom, such as North Korea, Nepal, Palestine, Somalia, Yemen, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
