In 1911, Frank Mars began selling chocolate bars from his own kitchen, in Tacoma, Washington. Now, his company sells sweets around the world, including well-known brands such as M&M, Milky Way and Snickers, while the business dedicated to the production of food and pet products accounts for half of their revenue.
The Mars family is incredibly private, so little is known about them. In fact, they value their privacy so much that they got the nickname "Kremlin", as the local media write. Jacqueline Mars is the only member of the family who has been more or less open about her life.
