In a recently published list of highest paid celebrities by Forbes magazine, Lady Gaga has managed to rise to the pinnacle. She has managed to become the highest paid celebrity under the age of 30- making a total of $80 million in 2012. Taylor Swift made around $80 million in earnings in 2012. This despite the fact that Lady Gaga had to cancel a part of her trip owing to her hip surgery.
With her earnings, Lady Gaga has been able to overshadow Justin Bieber who made $58 million during the same period. Forbes magazine claimed that Lady Gaga would have earned much more had she not cancelled a part of her trip.
Interestingly, Lady Gaga was ranked at the fourth position and Taylor Swift who had managed to top the poll rankings in 2012 fell down to third position. Taylor Swift was able to earn around $55 million during the current quarter. Lady Gaga seemed much inspired by the Forbes rankings and had recently announced that her next album Artpop would be released by November.
Others who made it to the top 10 earning stars include Katy Perry with $39 million, Jennifer Lawrence with $26 million, Adele with $25 million, Kristen Steward with $22 million and Taylor Lautner made $22 million.
