Rupert Murdoch, Australian-American media mogul has recently purchased the Moraga Vineyards in Bel Air, a 13-acre estate from Thomas Jones, former Northrop Grumman CEO. Rupert commercialized this news via twitter of all things. However, not disclosing the amount at which he made the purchase. Nonetheless, sources reveal the estate to had been up for sale since February by owner Thomas Jones for 29.5 million USD. Spreading over a good 13-acres, the vineyard comes by as a profitable as well as a good choice made by Murdoch. Its sun-kissed hillsides, shaded canyons, surrounding a 7,500sq.ft toile-infused main house, two-bedroom guest cottage, an on-site wine cave, and a 4,400-square-foot office building makes it a highly impressive and attractive property to own.

It was once known as the only commercial vineyard in Los Angeles. Moreover, the property has a glamorous history to it. Its initial owner was former Hollywood Director Victor Fleming, the creator of two classics – Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz.
