MIZU SPA - San Francisco

A spa is the most relaxing way to chill out from the stress...Talking about the atmosphere, you will just love the tranquil stream and the sleekness...

Luxury Mizu Spa focuses on many elements surrounding water. A stream of river rock flows through the centre of the space and separates two rows of pure white padded chairs. The walls are draped in shimmering mesh curtains. The horizontal surfaces of floor and ceiling are black. Everything else is pure and white.

The minimalist design of the Mizu Spa, located in San Francisco, California, USA, was crated by Stanley Saitowitz, to achieve optimal harmony and to harness the positive energy from the environment, Mizu Spa focuses on many elements surrounding water. A stream of river rock flows through the centre of the space and separates two rows of pure white padded chairs. The walls are draped in shimmering mesh curtains. The walls are intentionally had been created to give such fluidity effect, and everything is angelic pure, because of the white colour surrounding.

Mizu Spa offers a tranquil atmosphere and place for pampering, rejuvenating and transforming. The minimalist design, perhaps, at the first encounter with this space, gives the impression of coldness and probably does not look as a place for relaxation and regeneration of body and soul. This space, as if by some magic, very quickly overwhelms by its charm and simple design. The ease and simplicity of form and colour is what gives you peace of mind and prepares you for a relaxing treatment. The central object is a prosthetic throne to sit on. Soft pads pamper the body. Relaxed customers give into treatments and skilled hands of a professional staff which glides through space on chairs with wheels. Behind the communal therapy area are private rooms for facials and massage. In the bathroom, below the sinks, rocks again appear as water.

Mizu is about beauty. In this space, everything flows... and easily takes every visitor, as on peaceful waves, through different areas and treatments. Water is an essential element here, and although not physically present, it is felt in the atmosphere at every turn...
