BMW 787 VIP

Boeing Business Jets approached DesignworksUSA and challenged the firm to create a conceptual 787 aircraft interior for a fictitious, affluent, Russian client in his mid-thirties...

How times have changed since your common or garden Russian official had only the fearsome four-engine Ilyushin Il-62 from which to survey his dominion.

DesignworksUSA says it sat down with a blank sheet of paper and endeavoured to describe a day in the life of the owner, to examine the needs of a client that spends a significant amount of time travelling across the globe and needs an aircraft that can function as a second, luxurious home.

DesignworksUSA also incorporated a "vertical architectural experience" by taking advantage of the 787's generous cargo space to create space for a car to "offer a seamless air-to-ground experience".
