LANVIN MEN FALL/WINTER 2013

What will men be wearing next Autumn-Winter, according to Lanvin...

Albert Elbaz and Lucas Ossendrijver, who are in charge of menswear, imagine a serious, elegant man, who is also practical in tackling everyday life. In this Collection, menswear has a wholly casual look.

Outerwear items are ample and wrap-around. They also have a hood and hang to the knee to protect the wearer from even the coldest weather. Rather special are the models with a double collar and zip, while double-breasted overcoats and trench coats with reinforced shoulders provide a more rigorous look.

The leather and fur jackets, on the other hand, are close-fitting and casual, and are available in different lengths. Trousers come in various cuts. Some are extra-slim and enhance the models’ slender silhouette, while others are much wider, worn as hipsters like the pants of a tracksuit. Combined with sports shoes, tennis shoes or comfortable boots, the whole outfit becomes light and informal.

Shirts include various shiny and two-tone fabrics. In some models, the thin silk creates a sensual transparency, to be worn with rolled up sleeves for a more relaxed look. Colours are classic and elegant: dark blue and grey, with a few touches of colour to enliven the look, such as mustard, various shades of red, violet and white. In this Collection Lanvin seems inspired by sportswear, making their faithful customers feel at ease while always looking impeccable.
