BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS WHICH INSPIRED DISNEY


Disney is known for its fantastic scenery and castles where they are accommodated their films.

However, its artists usually have inspiration in real locations.

Look at some of the places that make the Disney cartoons so beautiful:

Route 66

Cartoon "Cars" is thematically and visually inspired by classic American highway - Route 66. A series of mountains that can be seen in some scenes of this cartoon resemble the sight of the highway - Cadillac Ranch.

Alsace, France

The creators of "Beauty and the Beast" searched the small villages and towns in Alsace in France, in order to find inspiration for Bella’s small town.

Mont Saint Michel

Castle of Rapunzel’s parents is actually beautiful Mont Saint Michel chateau in Normandy.

Serengeti

The largest part of the animated film "The Lion King" takes place in the plane, reminiscent of the Serengeti in Tanzania. It is known for large migrations of animals and of course, herds of lions.

The Forbidden City

Mulan, from the animated film of the same name, lived at the time of the Chinese Han Dynasty between 200 BC and 200 AD. Although the Forbidden City was built 1,200 years later, animators used it as a model for the design of the emperor's residence.

Ice Hotel

Elsa’s palace in the animated film "Frozen" was inspired by the Ice hotel built near Quebec in Canada.

Neuschwanstein castle

The beautiful castle in Bavaria, Neuschwanstein, was the inspiration for the castle of Sleeping Beauty, which was later adapted into a famous Disney castle at the beginning of each film and home.

Taj Mahal

Sultan's palace in the cartoon "Aladdin" was designed in the tradition of the famous Taj Mahal. However, the film itself is located in the Middle East.

Castle Chillon

Castle on the shores of Prince Eric from "The Little Mermaid" is inspired by the castle Chillon, located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland.

Castle of Chambord

Castle of Chambord in France served as a model for the castle of the Beast in "Beauty and the Beast."
