Copacabana is perhaps the world's most famous beach. With the iconic view of Sugar Loaf mountain and the wide expanse of 2.2 miles (4km) of white sand, the beach is a favorite of locals and millions of travelers each year.

As you walk along the top of the beach, you will find that sand sculpture is not just for the kids, as many incredibly unique and complex structures can be spotted up and down the beach. Art work is not limited to the sand as the tile promenade at the top of the beach also offers a variety of sight seeing pleasures - from the beautiful people to the appetizing drinks and snacks.
Stop by one of the several beach kiosks and enjoy a Caipirinha, Brazil's national cocktail. It is made with lemon, sugar and Cachaça, a liquor made from fermented sugarcane. Perhaps, a fresh Agua de Coco (coconut water) straight from the coconut will also suit your taste.
