In 2026, Acqua di Parma marks 110 years of the art of Italian living with the launch of Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato, a limited-edition fragrance celebrating heritage, craftsmanship, and timeless sophistication.

This exceptional creation is crafted from a single harvest of ylang-ylang flowers from 2024, sourced from the island of Nosy Be in Madagascar—transforming a fleeting moment in nature into a true perfumery icon.

Founded in 1916 in Parma by Baron Carlo Magnani, Acqua di Parma has embodied a luminous vision of Italian luxury for over a century—one where tradition meets modern elegance, and simplicity becomes the ultimate expression of style.

A New Interpretation of the Colonia DNA

“The extraordinary radiance of ylang-ylang inspired me to view the Colonia fragrance in an even brighter and more precious way,” explains Alexis Dadier, the nose behind this anniversary edition. The fragrance opens with a golden freshness of Italian bergamot, red orange, petitgrain, and grapefruit. At its heart, aromatic accords of rosemary and orange leaf absolute unfold, while a base of patchouli and vetiver provides depth and longevity—resulting in a refined citrus-aromatic composition that perfectly captures the essence of Italian elegance.

Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato naturally extends the wider Colonia universe, where every fragrance, object, and detail reflects exceptional craftsmanship and a sophisticated Italian lifestyle.

From Fragrance to the Art of Living

Beyond the perfume itself, Acqua di Parma introduces a thoughtfully curated selection of Art of Living objects designed to elevate everyday rituals into moments of luxury. Highlights include Via Con Me Scent to Go, a multifunctional leather accessory that doubles as a wireless earphone case, alongside a refined range of candle accessories—from the Cappuccino Cup Holder and Buonanotte Candle Snuffer to the Zic Wick Trimmer.

Modular candle holders such as Tazza Totem and Tazzina Totem, as well as the Sotto Sopra set, allow for a personalized interpretation of space, while preserving the brand’s signature balance between tradition, modernity, and discreet playfulness.

A Harvest That Makes the Difference

The distinctiveness of the Millesimato edition lies in the 2024 White ylang-ylang harvest, which benefited from an ideal balance of rainfall and mild temperatures, resulting in remarkable aromatic depth and vibrancy. The flowers were distilled over 24 hours and carefully fractioned to achieve exceptional purity and complexity. In this interpretation, ylang-ylang enhances the luminosity of the citrus notes while adding density to the composition—uniting the power of nature with the finest perfumery craftsmanship.

The Continuity of Italian Arte di Vivere

From the original Colonia creation to today’s Millesimato edition, Acqua di Parma remains faithful to a single idea: luxury is not a fleeting trend, but a continuous expression of light, elegance, and attention to detail. Each new interpretation of Colonia offers a different perspective on the same ideal, reaffirming that true sophistication lies in consistency and a refined sense of balance.
