QUEEN VICTORIA BUILDING – Sydney shopping center

Queen Victoria Building was built to replace original market in Sydney. It was constructed in 1898...  

Building was designed by George McRae, and its first purpose was to be a monument. It contains concert hall, coffee shops, offices, saloons... Looks and purpose of building changed during time and concert hall was replaced with city library.

Powerful domes  which are made from glass on inside and copper from outside are dominative in the building. Brilliant architecture partially kept original elements form XIX century. Every detail was carefully refurbished to keep integrity of the building.

Famous brands that have stores here are Guess, Calvin Klein, Coach, Swarovski, Versace... Besides boutiques, 150 of them, you can find coffee shops, restaurants, clubs and more...
