BARNEYS MADISON AVENUE STORE

Ruling as the capital for fashionistas since last 90 years, Barneys New York has been one of the most selected destinations for well-heeled shoppers!

As things, people and institutions age, along with keeping up with the current pace, all that is needed is a chic makeover. Barneys New York is just a decade away from celebrating its centenary. That hasn’t stopped the luxury department store from giving its Manhattan store on Madison Avenue a facelift.

With a revamped men’s accessories department on the ground floor already under its roof, the store has opened up the doors of its newly done up sixth floor. Along with menswear collection by American designers, this updated floor has expanded to accommodate renowned European brands like Zegna, Brioni, and Giorgio Armani. Those seeking more personalized fashion can step in for made-to-measure service too.

Also in an attempt to bring male and female shoppers closer, the new design gets rid of the walls between men’s and women’s section. Moving up from well-designed sixth floor to the seventh floor is the store’s next overhaul move. Lastly the fourth floor, which welcomes clients seeking trendy sportswear, will undergo remodeling too. Once all done, Barneys will boast of an eight-level men’s store in NYC.

Mark Lee, the chief executive officer at the store states, “We’re trying to break away from the old notion of classic or designer brands. The boundaries between classic and fashion are not relevant today.” Also he asserted that the new eight-level men’s store will be an incredibly unique and powerful statement in terms of men’s.
