Six years after unveiling the innovative Neró Spa New Experience and two years following the launch of the sustainable Preistoriche Green Lodge apartments, Studio Apostoli returns to Terme Preistoriche Resort & SPA in Montegrotto Terme with a new project – Neró Clinic – Wellness Revolution.
Scheduled to open at the end of 2025, this new medical area will span 550 m² over two floors, offering a wide range of therapeutic, rehabilitative, and physiotherapy treatments. With it, the resort enters a new phase of development, blending the tradition of Euganean thermal waters with modern medicine in a truly holistic concept of health.
“Wellness is a constantly evolving sector, and the offering must reflect both guest needs and the identity of the territory,” explains architect and designer Alberto Apostoli. Inspiration was drawn from the natural treasures of the region – hyper-mineral thermal waters and patented Mature Natural Mud, renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties.
The interiors are conceived as a cocoon of tranquility: neutral shades, warm indirect lighting, and dark wood paneling create a serene refuge. Metallic details, wallpaper with natural motifs, and bespoke furnishings add sophistication, while circular decorative elements and organic forms evoke harmony with nature.
Minimalist treatment rooms open out toward the park, clad in large-format porcelain surfaces accented with bold geometric lines. “This project represents a new entity shaped by the latest wellness technologies – an addition carefully integrated into its historical and natural context,” Apostoli emphasizes.
“Neró Clinic is the scientific counterpart to Neró Spa,” adds Angela Stoppato, CEO of Terme Preistoriche. “Here, sensory and thermal therapies are combined with personalized medical treatments, functional medicine, and rehabilitation. Our goal is to create a multidisciplinary wellness ecosystem with people at its center.”
In addition to the clinic, Studio Apostoli redesigned all 47 rooms of the resort, enhanced the restaurants and dining spaces, and reconnected them with the estate’s 50,000 m² park.
With this expansion, Terme Preistoriche reaffirms its role as a destination where nature, design, and innovation converge – a place where the tradition of Euganean thermal waters evolves into a new culture of health and luxury.
