GOLD CHRISTMAS TREE

Jeweler Ginza Tanaka's $4.2m Disney Pre Gold Christmas Tree for 2012...

Renowned for its opulent jewelry creations, the Tokyo-based jeweler with over 115 years of leadership in precious metals business in Japan, Ginza Tanaka, which last year came up with the $2 million gold Christmas tree, has now unveiled the world’s most expensive $4.2 million pure gold revolving Christmas tree made of Disney characters. Meticulously crafted to take the Christmas celebration to an all together different level, the Christmas tree is made of 48 kg of pure gold, about 2.4 meter tall and 1.2 meters in diameter, comes decorated with pure gold plate silhouette cutouts of 50 popular Disney characters and impressively draped with gold-leaf made ribbons. No wonders, the onlookers were mesmerized to witness this exceptional and glowing combination of gold and handmade cute Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Aladin, Alice, Genie, to name a few, which took 10 master craftsmen at Ginza Tanaka over 2 months to complete.

However, for those with less-ready cash but seeking a gold-glowing Christmas, the jewelers also offers a scaled-down version of this ornate-tree that features 20 Disney characters and stands 25 cm tall for just $243,000.

Reportedly, the miniature version has already found elite buyers, but the larger $4.2 million tree which will be on display through Dec. 2th, still awaits its high net worth individual owner.
