Largest archipelago in the world, Indonesia, consist of 17 000 islands, spread on 5 000 miles of ocean in south East Asia.
Bali one of most secretive islands in the world is placed here, close to equator. Domestic name for it “Island of thousand gods”. Island is blessed with beautiful beaches, crystal blue sea, vegetation, tropical jungles and high volcanos. Nusa Dua and Kuta beaches are covered with golden sand and north shore is covered with black, volcanic sand and it is ideal for swimming and diving.
Interior of island, often ignored by visitors is special thing. You can find fields of rice and Hindu temples from 15th century. Bali beside religion, preserved tradition through music and dancing. Residents of Bali, 3.5 million of them are especially proud of keeping religion tradition, seen in everyday life and architecture.
Capital is where all authorities are and most universities and the cultural center of island is Ubud. Divided by only 40 kilometers, they are so different that you would think that you are on another part of planet. Third city is Kuta, party center.
