King Matthew Oak - According to the myth, this tree was planted by Matus Cak Trenciansky in 1301. This was the year of the death of King Ondrej III, the last of the dynasty Arpads. King Matthew (1458 - 1490) gladly stayed in the shade of oak, and organized his meetings underneath it. This tree is mentioned in official documents of this monarch. That is why it was named King Matthew Oak.
Museum of prehistoric Slovakia - Bojnice belongs to the most important places of the oldest palaeologic village in Slovakia in Central Europe. This is the richest palaeological site in the country. It is located in the provost of the cave, where a large number of objects from the everyday life of prehistoric people was found. Also, in the cave were found bones of ancient animals, such as mammoths, rhinoceroses, cave lion, and others.
