"Because of its ubiquitous pioneering spirit, enchanting natural surroundings, incredible amounts of sun and snow conditions, this place is unique and cosmopolitan, with a lively, social and friendly atmosphere," says the World Ski Awards website.

The winners of these awards are determined by voices of leaders in the ski industry, such as owners, customers, travel agencies, the media and the public. For this edition, about 1.6 million people voted from 85 different countries.

While Val Thorens took the biggest award of the night, resort in Europe, Canada, Japan, and even in the Middle East have received their share of praise this year.

W Verbier in Switzerland won the award for the best ski hotel, while the best ski loggia is Bighorn Lodge at Revelstoke Mountain in Canada. Ski Dubai, an indoor ski center with an area of ​​3,000 square meters, won the title of the best indoor ski resort.
