On Cape Town’s mountainside stands a striking angular building by renowned local architecture firm SAOTA.
Summer home with a perfect view
Located on the island of Syros, on a slope with a view of the Aegean Sea, this summer home is the ideal place for a holiday...
The owners of the villa and their friends can enjoy the perfect environment that this area offers, in addition to superior view of the Greek coastal landscape. The main house and four separate guest houses are the work of Block 722, which deals with interior design and architecture, and is based in Athens.
Each of these structures respects the landscape and topography of the place where it is located. Some of the buildings are partially buried in the ground, and there are stairs that lead you to a number of covered or open spaces to enjoy.
Inside the main villa there is a space with an open plan, large windows and glass doors that erases the boundary between interior and exterior, offering you the optimal view of the sea and distant mountains.
Two guest houses are located closer to the main villa, as they are intended to family and close friends. The other two are located on opposite sides of the estate and have private entrances, and can be rented. Wood, natural stone and concrete are tastefully used in interior and exterior, as well as a sophisticated blend of modern design.
The large infinity pool, along with open spaces to enjoy, forms the heart of this property. The beauty of the natural surroundings of this place is something that you can admire from every room. The view from every corner of the property is framed by natural stone, blue waters and perfect sky, creating a Zen ambience.
