According to a report last year by the Centre for Cities thinktank, cities in the north of England are outpacing London and the south in terms of economic growth.
Welcome to Hawaii - land of pure magic
"There is no more powerful feeling of loneliness in the ocean, but on those islands," ... so say the tourists who visited Hawaii.
Hawaii is the most isolated populated country in the world and at the same time when you exit the plane and step onto Hawaiian land, thousands of miles away from home, one thing is clear from the very beginning - Hawaii is truly a magical place. The feeling of having no land 3.200 km away from you is unique.
Jason Mathias is a photographer who travels the world and wanted to capture in his photographs the feeling that he felt for four years when he lived on the island.
"I put a lot of effort and thinking in how to capture these moments in which it seems that all the elements work together with me. Emotions that I wanted to catch, the isolation of the island and the infinite space in a small moment of solitude is flawless."
To capture the mysticism of Hawaii, Matthias debuted in volcanic rocks, climbed to the highest craters and chased the sunset every night, just to be able to photograph these moments of pure magic.
"The point of photography is that you can always find elements of the movement. Hawaii is alive."
