That philosophy lies at the heart of ZEGNA MEMORIE, a new fragrance collection in which the fashion house ZEGNA transforms more than a century of heritage into a sophisticated olfactory narrative told through six distinctive perfumes.
The MEMORIE collection is conceived as a kind of aromatic archive of the brand. Each fragrance represents a specific moment, place, or symbol from the life of founder Ermenegildo Zegna, creating a story in which tradition, nature, and creative vision converge in unique scent compositions.
The story of ZEGNA begins in 1910 in Trivero, a small town in northern Italy, where Ermenegildo Zegna established his textile mill. Inspiration drawn from Alpine landscapes, nature, and a responsible relationship with the environment became the foundation of the brand’s philosophy. That same harmony between craftsmanship and nature now resonates through the MEMORIE fragrance collection.
Each perfume in the line represents a chapter from the founder’s life, translating personal memories into complex scent compositions.
Il Calamaio – The Moment Ideas Are Born
The first chapter evokes an early morning in the founder’s study, where the scent of ink, leather, and wood accompanies the moment when ideas turn into plans.
Created by perfumer Dominique Ropion, Il Calamaio belongs to the amber-leather fragrance family and blends notes of ink, Turkish rose, and oud, forming a scent that reflects creativity and introspection.
Il Lanificio – The Heart of Craftsmanship
The second fragrance pays tribute to the textile mill where raw wool is transformed into luxurious fabrics.
Created by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, Il Lanificio belongs to the vanilla-suede family and combines Tahitian vanilla, suede accords, and sandalwood. The composition reflects the transformation of raw materials into refined craftsmanship.
A Trivero – The Beginning of a Journey
The third fragrance captures the moment when the founder begins a journey from Trivero, with fresh Alpine air flowing through the open car window.

The final fragrance represents the closing chapter of the story — an evening gathering around the fire where conversations and memories gradually become tradition.
Saga del Piemonte combines warm notes of coffee, ratafià cherry liqueur, and Virginia cedarwood, creating a composition that evokes warmth, heritage, and continuity.
