For resort 2014, the designer made sure to give her own interpretation to the relaxed spirit associated with cruise-wear. As a result, “The L Word” collection drew together Karan’s all time favourite elements as illustrated by the long, lean, lightweight and luxurious silhouettes.
A black tailored blazer that exuded plenty of sex-appeal, paired to a sleek skirt hitting just below-the-knee were the first garments to introduce us to the effortless feel defining the new line-up. The asymmetrical hems were further explored in a series of fluid dresses and skirts, softening the lines between business casual and bohemian flare. Between structure and weightlessness, the separates became irresistible.
